Back to School: Time to Ramp Up!
As our district kids return to school, our middle and elementary students will return to healthy modern schools, made possible by taxpayers like you. Our high schoolers, however, will walk into an antiquated 1968 facility that simply must be replaced. Spreading the word about the essential YES! vote on Nov. 4, 2025, is essential to our future high school students and educators.
Now, we REALLY need your help as we accelerate our message between now and Nov. 4. Please do one or more of these things to help:
PLEASE DONATE to our efforts! We must spend money to get the YES vote on Nov. 4. We need $$ for lawn signs, post card mailings, advertising, printing, and more. You can give $100, $5,000 or $5—any amount helps!
ORDER A LAWN SIGN: Email us at voteyesmonument@gmail.com to reserve your sign—if you live on a high-traffic street where many people will see the reminder to vote!
BE PREPARED! Request a supply of YES MONUMENT! buttons, flyers and FAQ handouts to carry with you to soccer practice, back-to-school events, outdoor festivals, grocery trips and other out-and-about activities. DOWNLOAD this FAQ flyer to take with you.
WRITE A LETTER, SOCIAL POST OR MAKE A SELFIE-VIDEO: Show support for a new Monument with a letter to the editor, sharing or making a YES! social media post, or make a quick video saying why you will vote YES. Here’s a good example, from our friend Sheela Clary of West Stockbridge.
BUSINESS SUPPORT: If you are a South County business owner, show your support by adding a YES! sign to your storefront, or share a post or letter expressing the business case for a new Monument. Email voteyesmonument@gmail.com to request your sign!
Below are some “save the dates.” Meanwhile, THANK YOU for your support and participation!
Saturday, Aug. 9, say hi at the West Stockbridge Zucchini Fest! We’ll be there for a couple of hours with an info table, and we welcome anyone who would like to join us to chat with folks. If you can do a one hour shift between 1-3 p.m. with Neel Webber, retired MMRHS art teacher, that would be great.
Sept. 16, 5:15 pm, Monument Mountain High School: Includes tour of current school, info session, Q&A.
Oct. 7, 6:30-7:45 pm, Stockbridge Library: Includes info session and Q&A. More events at other local libraries are in the works.
